PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the attachment or detachment of a pressure receiving plate to or from the tip of the body of a thrust pipe, ensure stable transmission of propulsion through the thrust pipe, and facilitate the connection of the thrust pipe to a pipe having been propelled underground. ;SOLUTION: A thrust pipe body 10 is provided with an arcuate pressure receiving plate 30, on which thrust jacks are place. The pressure receiving plate 30 comprises two arcuate pressure receiving plates 30a and 30b. The pressure receiving plates 30a and 30b are provided with split sleeves 31a and 31b, which are adapted to be fitted inside the thrust pipe body 10 and are fixedly provided on their inner walls with plural stiffening ribs 32. The split sleeves 31a and 31b are fixed to the inner wall of the thrust pipe body 10 by means of set bolts 33 screwed thereinto next to the stiffening ribs 32. That process facilitates the alignment of the pressure receiving plates 30a and 30b with the thrust pipe body 10, and also their attachment or detachment to or from the inner wall of the thrust pipe body 10 owing to their fixation by means of the set bolts 33.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
