METHOD FOR GENERATING SYNTHETIC PLOTTING DATA AND SYNTHETIC PLOTTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the generating method for synthetic plotting data which generates α data used to put a color plotting image together with a video signal with high quality at a high speed, and the synthetic plotting device. SOLUTION: A CPU 101 expands the plotting image to be put together with necessary precision and plats it in an enlargement area formed on a RAM 103 as a black-and-white bit map. Consequently, a plotting image which is plotted to one dot of the plotting image of the original size is plotted in a unit area formed of more than one dots in the enlargement area. Black dots are counted by unit area and α data by the unit areas are generated according to the number of black dots. The α data are stored in a VRAM 15. The αdata are supplied to a digital video mixer 21 together with luminance information and color difference information to put the plotting image of high quality after anti-aliasing at a high speed.
