INTER-SLICE INTERPOLATING METHOD OF SLICE IMAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image that does not make an artifact by performing threshold processing of an interpolation image with inherent threshold and eliminating the shape difference of upper and lower slice images. SOLUTION: An appropriate threshold to binarize an image is decided in order to extract a remarked area from the input images 1 and 2 of slice numbers i and i+1 before carrying out interpolation processing. The ratio of the sum total of pixel value that is threshold or more to the sum total of full pixel values is separately calculated about the upper and lower slice images 1 and 2. A predictive value is calculated about the ratio of sum total of pixel value that is inherent threshold or more to the sum total of full pixel values in an interpolation image 3 by performing linear interpolation of the ratio of the pixel value with the interval ratio between slices. The inherent threshold of the image 3 is decided based on the predictive value of the ratio of the pixel value. In this way, appropriate value that corresponds to the distance ratio of slice intervals is decided by deciding the inherent value of the image 3.
