PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to obscure a primer coat in spite of a reddish coating color finish coat having a poor hiding property at the time of blur repair and to lower the influence on the coating color by the film thickness of the finish coat. ;SOLUTION: After the damaged part of the red coated film surface is sanded in a range slightly larger than the damaged part, the sanded part is subjected to repair puttying and primer surface coating at need and, further, the primer coating and red finish coating including the normal coating film part around the sanded part are executed in this repair coating method. The coating film by the primer coating in the case of the finish coating of a solid system has such coating color that the absolute value of ΔL with respect to the coating color of the normal coating film part attains the value within a range of ≤5.0 and the absolute value of Δa value ≤6.0 under the colorimetric conditions under which the coating film is illuminated from an angle of 30° from the perpendicular to the coating film plane and receives the light at an angle of 25° on the illumination light source side from the specular reflection direction of the illumination angle.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
