PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve speed and reproducibility of an array production process, and reduce production cost by disposing tiles allowing chemical component species to adhere thereon at different spatial positions on a support. ;SOLUTION: Individual physical constituents 1 such as substantially flat solid material, a film and gel are induced by chemical reaction radicals 3, and linker molecules 5 are sharedly allowed to adhere to the radicals 3. Next, after binding occurs between the linker 5 and a chemical component 7, a non-reaction component is washed and removed, and the constituents (material) 1 are divided into individual tiles 9. The tiles 9 composed of same kinds or different chemical components are inserted in a pocket formed in a support 13 or a channel, adhere thereto, and an array is formed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
