PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chicken-slaughtering unit, which can automatically and quickly slaughter chickens, securely hold their heads for transfer, and accurately cut open their carotids. ;SOLUTION: This chicken-slaughtering unit is equipped with (A) a pair of guide rod, consisting of an upper roller 1 and lower roller 2, which restricts a head H of a chicken T placed between these rollers, (B) an endless belt, provided side by side with a pair of the guide rollers 1 and 2, to transfer the chicken T with its head H being held between these rollers, and (C) a rotary blade 4 which cuts open the cervix of the chicken T transferred by the endless belt.
