PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make centering of a radiation source easy, which is difficult in conventional radiotherapy if a target lumen is curved. SOLUTION: A medical device 10 for treating a lumen using a radiation source 16 includes an axially flexible support structure 12, having a plurality of radially compressible and selfexpandable separate untightened areas 32 formed of a plurality of interwoven filaments 22, and a plurality of separate tightened areas 30 arranged concentric with the untightened areas 32 and each having a smaller treatment diameter than the untightened area 32 during treatments, and a radiation source 16, supported inside the tightened areas 30 of the support structure 12, the device 10 centering the radiation source 16 substantially in the radial direction inside the lumen.
