The number of remaining layer coils is computed by subtracting the integrated number of already wound layer coils from the total number of required layer coils whenever one layer coil is wound and the number of successively wound layer coils is computed from the diameter and winding width W of a coil conductor 2, the number of required layer coils, and the predicted total number of layer coils under the condition that the winding terminating end section 2B of the last layer coil Ln is positioned to the outermost edge position of the winding width W.
