PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bichromate photosensitive compsn. having high sensitivity by adding water-soluble 3,6-bis(dialkylamlno) or diaminoacridine sulfonate compd. to a bichromate photosensitive compsn. ;SOLUTION: The photosensitive compsn. contains a water-soluble polymer, bichromate as a photosetting agent, and acridine sulfonate compd. in which at least substituents on the 3, 6 sites are diamino groups or bis(dialkylamino) groups as a spectral sensitizer. The sensitivity is increased because the acridine dye acts as a spectral sensitizer for the bichromate as a photosensitive agent in the photosensitive compsn. to increase the photosensitive wavelength region of the bichromate photosensitive compsn. to a longer wavelength region. The coating film of a bichromate photosensitive compsn. having high sensitivity with addition of a water-soluble acridine dye has sensitivity for light in 420 to 350nm wavelength region to produce a leuco form (reduced product) of the dye. This reduces the hexavalent chromium to a tervalent chromium. The tervalent chromium produces coordinate bonds with the water-soluble polymer to crosslink the polymer and to make the polymer insoluble.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
