CONTROL OF DISEASE CAUSED BY CORTICIUM ROLFSII AND CONTROLLING AGENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling diseases of a woody plant body caused by Corticium rolfsii in which the diseases caused by the Corticium rolfsii growing in the woody plant can highly be controlled even when a small amount of a microorganism for controlling the diseases caused by the Corticium rolfsii is inoculated and the effects are sustained for a long period by inoculation at a time. SOLUTION: This method for controlling diseases caused by Corticium rolfsii comprises inoculating a fungus symbiotic with a woody plant, especially a fungus belonging to the genus Gliocladium or a fungus belonging to the genus Trichoderma into the woody plant body and then transplanting the resultant woody plant body to soil for cultivation or inoculating the fungus into the soil for cultivation and subsequently transplanting the woody plant to the soil for cultivation. The controlling agent comprises the fungus and is used by inoculating the fungus into the woody plant body before transplantation to the soil for cultivation.
