PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic shielding sleeve which is high in flexibility and equipped with a metal foil protected against damage in use and a manufacturing process without deteriorating in shielding effect. SOLUTION: An electromagnetic shielding braided sleeve is manufactured through such a method that two heat-resistant multi-filaments 2 and 2 are so twisted into a thread 1 together with fine fibers 3 which are pinched between the twisted filaments 2 and 2 and gently napped to cover the surface of the thread 1, a foil strip 10 formed of a copper foil plated with tin is spirally wound on the twisted filaments 2 with fine fibers 3 leaving small gaps 11 for the formation of a metal-coated thread 30 where fine fibers 3 are gently napped and made to protrude through the gap 11 of the foil strip 10, and the electromagnetic shielding braided sleeve is formed of the metal-coated thread 30.
