PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the construction process of a nuclear power plant that accompanies the installation of a reactor pressure vessel base by using the module which is composed of a cylindrical reactor pressure vessel(RPV) base and components arranged and provided in the cylindrical inner space united with the reactor pressure vessel base. SOLUTION: The inside and outside of a pedestal 1 of an RPV 4 are made of a cylindrical steel plate that also plays a role of the form for placing concrete to fully withstand vibration by supporting the load of the RPV 4, and a high-strength concrete is filled into the space between them. By suspending a module at an installation position for setting, the pedestal 1 of the RPV 4 can be installed all at once and succeeding constructions of a diaphragm and a reactor storage container can be speeded up. Also, with the mounting surface of the RPV 4 of the pedestal 1, a deformation dimension due to a distortion when a module is manufactured by welding is adjusted to a regular height by cutting and machining the upper surface of a trestle 13, so that a height adjustment when assembling the RPV 4 to the pedestal 1 of the RPV 4 can be drastically reduced and hence the construction process of a nuclear power plant can be reduced.
