OPERATING METHOD FOR ROTARY MELTING FURNACE AND ROTARY MELTING FURNACE FACILITY WITH FUNCTION FOR PREHEATING RAW MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the operational cost while shortening the melting time by introducing the exhaust gas, during melting operation of one rotary melting furnace, into the other rotary melting furnace supplied with a raw material and preheating the raw material uniformly until a specified exhaust gas temperature is reached by turning the rotary melting furnace and then making an immediate transition to melting operation. ;SOLUTION: Exhaust gas in a rotary melting furnace 1a under operation is introduced into a rotary melting furnace 1b under preheating and a raw material being supplied into the rotary melting furnace 1b is preheated uniformly by turning the furnace 1b. The rotary melting furnace 1a is reset immediately after discharging sludge and molten and an exhaust gas duct 23 is retracted before starting supply of a raw material 5. After the raw material is preheated in the rotary melting furnace 1b, a rotary preheat duct 24 is switched to the fixing port 2a of the rotary melting furnace 1a and the exhaust gas duct 23 is switched to the opening 11a of the rotary melting furnace 1a. Subsequently, a pure oxygen burner 3 is coupled with the fixing port 2b of the rotary melting furnace 1b and the melting operation is started in the rotary melting furnace 1b following to preheating operation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
