PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surpress wear and damage of a carrying-out means of an agglomerate and, to improve operating rate of a reducing operation by easily performing the removal of deposited layer formed on the hearth surface of a rotary furnace.;SOLUTION: The agglomerate 3 and carbonaceous material 4 are mixedly laid on the rotary furnace hearth 10 in the rotary hearth furnace 1 for reducing the agglomerate containing iron oxide raw material, and in the driving process of the rotary hearth furnace, this carbonaceous material is mixed in the deposited layer formed on the rotary furnace hearth to form the deposited layer easily removable even with the carry-out means such as a screw conveyor 11.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
