PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a printer which contains a switching function that avoids the inconvenience, which a switching device of a single structure has, and surely selects a printer on a desired side, inn the case in which two peripheral equipments, for instance printers are made to coexist with a user's equipment, for instance one personal computes. ;SOLUTION: This system basically consists of at least one user's device 3 (personal computer) which supplies image data to be printed, 1st peripheral equipment 1 (1st printer) which is connected to the device 3, receives image data from the device 3 and processes the received image data, and 2nd peripheral equipment (2nd printer) which is connected to the device 3 through the equipment 1 and processes image data that is sent from the device 3. And the equipment 1 contains a switching device 4 (interface switching device for printers) which automatically switches connection to the device 3 and connect either of the equipment 1 and 2 to the device 3.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
