ULTRASONIC PHANTOM FOR LIVING BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic phantom which hardly causes secular change and decay and is easily produced by dispersing graphite in an impregnated water absorptive resin so as to be the ultrasonic phantom for a living body. ;SOLUTION: Graphite is dispersed in impregnated water absorptive resin so as to be an ultrasonic phantom for a living body. In this case, the water absorptive resin is set to resin having ethylene oxide as the major component. The ultrasonic phantom for the living body is provided by swelling a granular material, which is formed by dispersing the graphite in the melt water absorptive resin, by a prescribed quantity of water in a container whose, at least, one part transmits an ultrasonic wave. This ultrasonic phantom for the living body requires any use of agar so as to hardly cause secular change and decay.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
