ONLINE HANDWRITING CHARACTER INPUT METHOD AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an online handwriting character input method which realizes character recognition with the separation of characters which is intended by a user by segmenting plural handwritten character data from input data that is erroneously inputted in the same frame by the user and performing recognition processing of plural characters that make each data an input. ;SOLUTION: A coordinate data processing part 3 converts the handwriting of an input character into a coordinate data string, generates character data that is handwritten and inputted and stores it in a coordinate data buffer 4, and a character extracting part 5 extracts plural characters from each character data in the buffer 4. Here, when plural characters are extracted, a coordinate data switching part 8 switches content stored in the buffer 4 to content stored in an extraction data buffer 6 as coordinate data that is given to a character recognizing part 9.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
