PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the communication time and to reduce the traffic jam by displaying an image, causing the stereoscopic feeling and an image causing no stereoscopic feeling on the same screen. SOLUTION: At least one of the objects is selected with operation of a pointer which is provided on a display screen and controlled by a pointing means. Then a processor 11 controls a communication means 13 to access a data storage device 18, placed at a remote point via a communication circuit. Thus, the stereoscopic information on the selected object is inputted to an image- display device. The acquired data are stored in a data storage means 17, sent to an image-display part 14 via an image processing means 16 and converted into an image. Then the image is made incident on the right and left eyes of an observer by an optical means 15. As a result, a stereoscopic image can be displayed at only a part of a display area.
