PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively restrain noise of a gradient magnetic field coil by blocking both end parts of a space formed between a static magnetic field generating device and a high-frequency coil including a gradient magnetic field coil. SOLUTION: A magnetic field generating device GEN comprises a static magnetic field generating device M, gradient magnetic field coils G, G' disposed in a static magnetic field space inside the device M, and a high-frequency coil B, wherein the gradient magnetic field coils G, G' and the high-frequency coil B are supported on a cylindrical coil frame, and both of them have cylindrical outlines. The static magnetic field generating device M and the gradient magnetic field coils G, G' are covered with a cover CV, and the cover CV is combined with a coil frame of a high-frequency coil B to form an enclosure for enclosing the static magnetic field generating device M and the gradient magnetic field coils. In this arrangement, both ends of a cylindrical space formed between the outer surface of the gradient magnetic field coil G and the inner surface of the gradient magnetic field coil G' are blocked by a sound buffer plate BUF.
