PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera capable of always detecting impact, while reducing current consumption. ;SOLUTION: The camera capable of detecting the impact is provided with an impact detecting means 1 for outputting a starting voltage corresponding to the impact, when the camera has the impact, an impact voltage detecting means 8 for detecting that the starting voltage developed by the impact detecting means 1 reaches a fixed value or not, a boosting means 4 for boosting a power supply voltage with a detection signal from the impact voltage detecting means 8, a switching means 3 for switching whether the voltage boosted by the boosting means 4 is supplied to the impact detecting means 1 or not and a CPU 2 for processing an impact signal outputted from the impact detecting means 1 by A/D conversion, to store the impact signal, after power is supplied by the switching means 3.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
