PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly slide a lens cover without any backlash, irrespective of some forming errors in the casing and the lens cover, in a lens cover mechanism for a camera provided with a casing having a curved surface bulged on the front surface in which a photographic lens is installed and the lens cover slidably attached to the front surface of the casing. ;SOLUTION: In the casing 1, one or plural projected lines 70 extending in the sliding direction of the lens cover 2 are formed in the front surface, the top and bottom surfaces holding the front surface are recessed to provide guiding grooves 52 curved along the front surface, respectively and a sliding sheet 73 coming into slidable contact with the projected lines 70 of the casing 1 is fixed inside the lens cover 2. Further, two engaging pins 72 coming into slidable contact with the guiding surfaces 52a on a lens cover side of the guiding grooves 52 of the casing 1 are provided projectingly in both top and bottom end parts of the lens cover 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
