PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent warpage caused by the absorption and desorption of moisture of a woody backing and the release of formaldehyde by making a moistureproof sheet contain a formaldehyde catching agent. ;SOLUTION: In a decorative plate 10, a decorative sheet 2 and a moistureproof sheet 3a containing a formaldehyde catching agent are bonded to the upper and lower surfaces of a woody backing 1, respectively. The sheet 3a has three-layer structure in which thin paper sheets 32, 33 are stuck on both surfaces of a moistureproof resin layer 31a containing a formaldehyde catching agent. A powdery formaldehyde catching agent is added directly during the melt molding of the resin, while a water soluble or organic solvent soluble formaldehyde catching agent is carried on a powder of active carbon, talc, sepiolite, etc., to be added. Highly hydrophobic polyolefin such as polyethylene is used as the moistureproof resin.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
