PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make waterproofing certain and easy at an interface between external walls on the upstairs and the downstairs when wall plates are different in thickness at the upstairs and the downstairs in a building built in two or more stories, and to make the waterproofing at the joint well executed in a good external appearance. ;SOLUTION: A throating base plate 3 comprises a lower base plate 3A running along the surface of a downstairs external wall material 1 and an upper base plate 3B contacting with the reverse side of an upstairs external wall material 2 and made up as an integral body, being connected together with a connecting base plate 3C crossing an interface between the external wall materials 1 and 2. A packing housing groove 3D is provided at the connecting base plate 3C on a position facing the downstairs external wall material 1 while a fitting ribs 3E are provided at the upper base plate 3B on a position corresponding to the lower end 2A of the upstairs external wall material 2, and a base 5A of a fixing metal fixture 5 having a hooking part 5B is made available for fitting into the fitting ribs 3E. With a throating accessory in a structure as mentioned above used, an external wall connecting accessory 6 is engaged with and fixed to the fitting ribs 3E through the fixing metal fixture 5, and a gap between the upper end of the external wall connecting accessory and the surface of the upstairs external wall material 2 is filled with a sealing material.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
