PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an efficient connection between the portable computer and docking station, and greatly reducing problems of EMC in the designing of the docking station and prolong its life cycle. ;SOLUTION: The docking station 62 comprises (1) a wireless transceiver 64 for a wireless communication with the portable computer 61, (2) a plurality of ports 68-72 which include physical connectors respectively, and (3) conversion managers 65 and 66 which manage the conversion of information transferred between the wireless transceiver 64 connected between the wireless transceiver 64 and the plurality of ports 68-72, and the ports 68-72.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
