METHOD OF BACK-FILLING CONSTRUCTION OF CAISSON AND BACK-FILLING STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct backing-filling works for preventing the suction of back- filling soil and sand from caisson joints in a gravity type revetment and a quaywall surely by simple works without requiring a large quantity of back- filling stones. ;SOLUTION: In a method of back-filling construction of the caissons, guide frames 9 with bent openings are installed vertically near both end sections of the land side faces of the caissons while the bent opening sides are directed to both ends of the caissons 1, and the caissons 1, on which the guide frames 9 are mounted, are mutually arranged adjacently. The bent openings of the guide, frames 9 are faced oppositely, and gabions 10, in which sand arresting sheets are set up to at least side faces and the insides are filled with a large number of stone, are stacked and installed on the joint-section load sides of the caissons 1 at a plurality of stages while using the guide frames 9 as guides.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
