PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject bactericidal and parasiticidal agent capable of sterilizing and antiparasitically cleaning a sandbox contaminated with parasites, bacteria, etc., included in excreta of dogs, cats, etc., in a short time and continuously maintaining the effects for a long period by containing a peroxy sulfuric acid salt as an effective ingredient. ;SOLUTION: This bactericidal and parasiticidal agent is obtained by containing (A) 100 pts.wt. of a peroxy sulfate, preferably an alkali metal salt of peroxy sulfuric acid (e.g. potassium peroxy sulfate) and, if needed (B) 20-80 pts.wt. of an inorganic salt, preferably an alkali (earth) metal salt or an alum and (C) 15-65 pts.wt. of a stabilizer, e.g. a dispersant and/or a sulfonic acid-based acidic material. When the bactericidal and parasiticidal agent is used for sterilizing and antiparasitically cleaning a sandbox, the ingredient A is brought to ≥0.005 pts.wt., preferably 0.01-15 pts.wt.
