PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly and stably move charge without influencing other systems with simple constitution by providing a weir member preventing a charge moving medium from being leaked from a frame body on a downstream side in the relative moving direction of a body to which the charge is moved to the frame body. ;SOLUTION: The electrifying device 10 is supported at a position opposed to a charge receptor 1 which can move in a right-and-left direction above the charge receptor 1; and provided with conductive liquid 2, a liquid holding member 3 holding the liquid 2 so that the liquid 2 may be brought into contact with the charge receptor 1, and the weir member 6 preventing the liquid 2 from flowing out in the moving direction of the charge receptor 1. Furthermore, the holding member 3 is provided with an electrifying electrode 4 for supplying electrifying voltage to the conductive liquid 2 on its inside, and a power source 5 is connected to the electrode 4. When specified voltage is impressed on the conductive liquid 2 from the power source 5 through the electrode 4, the charge receptor 1 is directly electrified by the charge supplied from the conductive liquid 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
