PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the shape of the insulation material of a heating furnace skid in which no scale is deposited, or a skid mark is not expanded even when the scale is deposited. ;SOLUTION: In a heating furnace skid which is provided with a skid button 1 in contact with the steel to be heated and a skid pipe 2 to hold the skid button, and covered with the insulation material 6, the angle (α) of inclination at the upper surface 6 of the insulation material in the vicinity of the skid button 1 is set to be larger than the angle (θ) of rest of the deposited scale. Because the scale dropped on the upper surface 6a of the insulation material does not stay on the surface 6a but slides down, the skid mark by the scale deposit is prevented from being expanded.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
