PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for deciding fluid pattern to a suitable prescribed pattern and selecting casting condition for the prescribed pattern, in a continuous casting of a steel which blows Ar gas into an immersion nozzle, impressing magnetic field to spouting flow from the immersion nozzle and executing while controlling the fluidity of molten steel. ;SOLUTION: In plural casting conditions composed of four elements, i.e., a mold size, drawing speed of a cast slab, Ar gas blowing quantity into the immersion nozzle and intensity of magnetic field, the fluid pattern of the molten steel in the mold is beforehand measured. Based on this measured result, the fluid pattern of the molten steel in the mold at the individual casting condition is estimated and the intensity of the magnetic field impressed to the spouting flow or the Ar gas blowing quantity into the immersion nozzle, is adjusted so as to obtain the prescribed fluid pattern.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
