METHOD FOR FORMING CLAD LAYER BY LASER BEAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a sound clad layer by laser beam by removing a layer deposited on the surface of a member. SOLUTION: Before applying a pasty metal powder on the recessed part 4 of a tube 3 to form the clad layer by the laser beam, a pasty metal powder with the same material as the paste like metal powder or only a binder agent comprising the pasty metal powder is applied on the recessed part 4 as a substrate treatment agent 19, dried and solidified to be fixed to the layer 16 deposited on the surface of the recessed part 4. After solidifying the substrate treatment agent 19, by grinding the substrate treatment agent 19, the deposited layer 16 is removed together with the substrate treatment agent 19, and the pasty metal powder is applied on the recessed part 4 to repair the recessed part 4. The pasty metal powder is irradiated by the laser beam, and the clad layer by the laser beam which covers the recessed part 4 is formed.
