HYDRO DESULFURIZATION CATALYST, PREPARATION THEREOF, AND HYDRO DESULFURIZATION METHOD FOR HEAVY OIL USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydro desuldurization catalyst in which the deterioration of catalyst activity due to coke degradation is reduced remarkably in the catalytic hydro desulfurization of a reduced pressure light oil fraction by an indirect desulfurizer and of a atmospheric pressure residual oil fraction by a direct desulfurizer and which can remove the surfer compounds in the heavy oil fraction over a long period in a high yield, and can covert the heavy oil fraction into light oil. ;SOLUTION: This hydro desufurization catalyst for heavy oil is composed of (a) a substrate catalyst of 3-7 mass % of the oxide of at least one metal selected from the iron group of the periodic table, 10-30 mass % of the oxide of at least one metal selected from the VIA group of the periodic table, and the reset of an inorganic oxide carrier and (b) a platinum group catalyst of 0.2-10 mass % of at least one kind of metal selected from the platinum group of the periodic table and the rest of an inorganic oxide carrier. The surface of 100 pts. mass of the substrate catalyst is coated with 1-20 pts. mass of the platinum group catalyst.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
