PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a nonwoven fabric of conjugated yarn excellent in balance between bulkiness and tenacity of nonwoven fabric, suitable for paper diaper, interlining of clothing, filter, etc., by subjecting a low-melting resin and a high-melting resin to conjugate spinning and making fibers into a nonwoven fabric by a spun bond method. ;SOLUTION: A high-density polyethylene having ≤20 MI and 0.950-0.965 density is used as a low-melting resin and a crystalline polypropylene resin having ≥15°C difference in melting point between the low-melting resin and a high-melting resin, ≤10 MFR and ≤3.5 Q value as the high-melting resin. Both the resins are arranged in an eccentric sheath-core type or a side-by-side type and subjected to conjugate spinning so as to make the low-melting resin form at least a part of fibers and a web is piled on a collecting apparatus by a high-speed air flow. Then the web is subjected to bulky preliminary treatment, to heat air through treatment or thermal embossing treatment, is crimped, made bulky and infused at intersections of fibers to give the objective nonwoven fabric of conjugate filament having 15-35cc/g specific volume X and the specific volume and tenacity of the nonwoven fabric satisfying a relation of the equation [Y is the geometrical mean (MD×CD)1/2 of warp tenacity MDg/(g/m2.5cm) and weft tenacity CD g(g/m2.5cm) in 5 cm width].;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
