PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform smooth engagement and disengagement of a clutch by producing an effect to damp an impact generated during disengagement and engagement of the clutch. ;SOLUTION: A diaphragm spring support mechanism comprises a contact part 10c; a support part 10e; a first elastic part 10d; a first lock part 10a; and a second lock part 10g. The contact part 10c is brought into contact with a clutch cover 2 from the diaphragm spring 4 side. A support 10e supports the diaphragm spring 4 from the opposite side to the pressure plate 3 side. The first elastic part 10d elastically intercouple the contact part 10c and the support 10e. The first lock part 10a locks the contact part 10c at the clutch cover 2.
