PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate need for inspecting the quantity of leaders for developing and to prevent the stocked leaders from being exhausted by providing a device with a residual quantity detection means for detecting information on the residual quantity of the stocked leader. ;SOLUTION: A stock part 510 for a leader for developing can be stocked with ≥50 pieces of leader 5, for example, and provided with a sending-out roller 529 sending out the leaders from the bottom thereof one by one. Besides, the bottom of the stock part 510 is provided with a sending-out detection sensor 511 detecting that the leader 5 is sent out. By allowing the stock part 510 to be stocked with the leaders 5 by 20 pieces of leader for example, the residual quantity of the leaders 5 stocked in the stock part 510 is detected. Therefore, the information related on the residual quantity of the leaders 5 can be automatically detected even though an operator does not frequently inspect the quantity of the leaders 5 with which the stock part 510 is stocked.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
