PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and effective shot sleeve device which can give a fixed quantity of shot without needing to fully fill up the shot sleeve before injecting. ;SOLUTION: An overflow hole 28 extends by penetrating the shot sleeve 12 at the lower level position than a pouring hole 18 so that molten metal exceeding a prescribed quantity flows out from the shot sleeve. In the condition of opening the overflow hole, the excess molten metal can be flowed out from the shot sleeve. At the time of closing the overflow hole, the molten metal can be pushed out from the shot sleeve without flowing out from the overflow hole.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
