PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a closed shot die cast metal supply system having a rotary actuation type closure member by rotating the closure member between a filling position and a casting position. ;SOLUTION: When a shot sleeve 22 is filled with molten metal and a closure 24 is rotated at a casting position, a hydraulic shot cylinder 40 is extended, a plunger rod 48 is pressed in the axial direction through an internal bore 28 of the center of a shot sleeve 22. The rod 48 presses a molten metal from the sleeve 22 into a die cavity 26, solidifying therein. After a part is sufficiently solidified by cooling, an ejector die 14 and a cover die 16 are separated, a cast part is taken out from a die.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
