OBSERVER FOLLOWING TYPE DIRECTIONAL DISPLAY, AND OBSERVER FOLLOWING TYPE LIGHTING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device automatically giving an observer a correct image through out a wide range observation position. SOLUTION: The observer follow-up is provided in an automatic stereoscopic 3D display of a type having an LCD panel 2 in the rear of e.g. a parallax barrier 3. An infrared rays sensor such as a precise position detector 25, etc., is provided on the LCD panel 2. By extending the parallax barrier 3 onto the detector 25, the image of the observer or a reflective target worn by the observer is formed on the detector 25. The parallax barrier 3 is moved, and by that, the image is kept on the fixed position of the detector 25. Thus, an observation zone follows up the observer.
