PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly recover the dispersion of attention that made a user turn his eyes from a display device by monitoring the staring position of the user on the display device to store the interruption of the user's attention as a lost context and then restoring it. ;SOLUTION: An eyegaze eyetracking system 123 tracks the current context within an active area of a display device and detects the interruption of attention from the active area. When the attention is interrupted, the current context is stored in a memory 109 as a lost context. The lost context is shown to a user by means of an indicator. In other words, a hyperlink related context is displayed with emphasis through the blinking of a hyperlink anchor. Then the words are displayed with blinking and emphasis in a text related context, and the areas are displayed with blinking and emphasis in an image related context.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
