PURPOSE: To enable a crawler vehicle to travel at high speed on a level ground and easily turn and to prevent the vehicle from running out of control when going downhill by providing two sets of variable capacity hydraulic motors and two sets of swash plate controllers for changing the capacity of each of the hydraulic motors. ;CONSTITUTION: During straight travel on a level ground, a variable capacity hydraulic motors 8, 9 is adopted and the speed of a crawler vehicle is increased by control of a remote control valve for controlling the speed. When a steering remote control valve is controlled on traveling, its secondary pressure is provided to the external pilot port of the hydraulic motor 8, 9. A swash plate controller 10, 11 increases the capacity of the hydraulic motor 8 or 9 located on the side to which the vehicle turns, so that the travel speed of the turning side is lowered and that the vehicle can be easily turned. When the vehicle goes downhill, the brake pressure of the hydraulic motor 8, 9 is exerted on the pilot room of a pilot switching valve 28, 29 so that the pilot switching valve 28, 29 is neutralized. Then the brake pressure acts on the external pilot port of the swash plate controller 10, 11 and the capacity of the hydraulic motor 8, 9 is increased and the travel speed is decreased so that the vehicle does not run out of control.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
