PURPOSE:To conduct the lightening resistance test with high reliability and practical circuit configuration by applying a lightening surge voltage to a feeding communication line via a coupling circuit to conduct the lightening resistance test. CONSTITUTION:An electronic circuit of a subscriber's communication equipment 50 is activated by feeding power from a feeding means insulated with respect to ground to a communication line 42 and an AC power line and the lightening resistance test is executed in a state close to the installation condition of the subscriber's communication equipment 50. When a lightening surge voltage is applied from the communication line 42, the AC power line is connected to ground via a prescribed impedance circuit 15 and when a lightening surge voltage is applied from the AC power line, the communication line 42 is connected to ground via the prescribed impedance circuit 15 to set the actual electric circuit condition of the subscriber's communication equipment 50 and the lightening resistance test in response to the real condition is conducted.
