PURPOSE:To enable efficient de-P and de-S be receiving molten chromium- containing iron into a torpedo car or a molten iron ladle remaining slag after shifting the molten iron subjected to de-P treatment with a CaO series flux to the other refining furnace. CONSTITUTION:In the molten iron containing a high content Cr of =5% and =4.5% C, the flux composed of CaO and CaF2, and iron oxide are added to the torpedo car or the molten iron ladle to execute de-P and de-S treatments. After shifting the treated molten iron to the other refining furnace, to the still remaining slag in the torpedo car or the molten iron ladle, the other molten chromium-containing iron of =5% Cr and =4.5% C is added and the slag and the molten chromium-containing iron are mixed to execute de-S treatment. By this method, the high chromium steel with low P and low S can efficiently be produced.
