GROWTH REGULATOR FOR PLANT AND METHOD FOR ENHANCING STRESS RESISTANCE OF PLANT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a growth regulator for plants more excellent in effective and economical aspects than usual one and provide a method for enhancing environmental stress resistance of plants by using the same. ;SOLUTION: This growth regulator for plants contains at least one of substituted or nonsubstituted pyridine-2-carboxylic acids selected from a group consisting of pyridine-2-carboxylic acid, pyridine-2,3-dicarboxylic acid, pyridine-2,4-dicarboxylic acid, pyridine-2,5-dicarboxylic acid, pyridine 2,6- dicarboxylic acid, 4-amino-3,5,6-trichloropyridine-2-carboxylic acid, 3- hydroxypyridine-2-carboxylic acid, 5-butylpyridine-2-carboxylic acid, 4- hydroxypyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid and 5-hydroxypyridine-2-carboxylic acid, or their salts as effective ingredients and has an action to enhance stress- resistance of plants.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
