TREATING SOLUTION FOR URINARY CALCULUS-SCALE AND USE OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a treating solution for urinary calculus, etc., sticking on the urinary calculus and thus penetrating into the inner part of the urinary calculus, etc., and levitating the urinary calculus from the surface of a stool, capable of easily removing urinary calculus, etc., by compounding a water soluble polymeric compound to the treating solution containing an inorganic acid to impart a viscosity to the solution. ;SOLUTION: This treating solution contains (A) an inorganic acid (hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid) and (B) a water soluble polymeric compound (preferably polyvinyl alcohol) and the viscosity of the solution is set to 100 centipoise to 300 poise, preferably 300 centipoise to 150 poise. A certain amount of a chelating agent such as ethylenediamine-tetraacetate may be added thereto to increase the cleaning effect of the treating solution. The generation of carbon dioxide gas by coating the stool with an aqueous solution containing a carbonate after coating with this treating solution is preferred because the agitating effect of the carbon dioxide gas allows the urinary calculus to be capable of easily being removed. Sodium bicarbonate and potassium bicarbonate are preferred as the prescribed carbonate. Generally the concentration of the carbonate is 3 to 30%.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
