PURPOSE:To stably cool a nuclear reactor containment for a long period without the motive power or operator's operation after an accident of loss of a cooling material by discharging the heat in the nuclear reactor containment to the air through the heat transmission face of a nuclear reactor containment cooling device. CONSTITUTION:A part of discharged water of a steam injector 22 flows to a lower plenum 9b from a water supply pipe 23 and rises in a heat transmission pipe 10 again.
