PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To pump up hot-spring water at a high hot-water temperature by directly pumping up hot-spring water at a high temperature in a deep layer section. ;SOLUTION: This pumping-up device has a casing 11, a suction pump 12, a pump housing section 13 and a suction pipe 14. The casing 11 is installed into the ground, and a pit is formed on the inside. The suction pump 12 pumps up water in the pit, and discharges it from a discharge pipe. The pump housing section 13 is arranged into the casing 11, and the suction pump 12 is housed on the inside of the pump housing section 13. The pump housing section 13 has a first opening and a second opening, and is sealed hermetically. The first opening is mounted on the drain pipe of the suction pump 12. The suction pipe 14 is inserted into a deep layer section in the pit, and an upper-end opening is connected to the second opening of the pump housing section 13.
