PURPOSE:To compact garbage in a plurality of containers with one set of a compactor by interconnecting slide tables through a X linkage to provide a cylinder between one slide table and link so that the respective slide tables are fixed to and released from the guide rail side. CONSTITUTION:Frame members 5, 5a are bolted between both ends of H-type steel 4, 4a provided in parallel, and guide rails are constituted respectively on the upper surfaces of respective inner lower sides of H-type steel 4, 4a. A plurality of slide tables 9, 9a for mounting containers are slidably provided between these guide rails. The slide tables 9, 9a are interconnected through X-type links 11, 12 having slidable ends 11a, 12a respectively. A cylinder 12 is provided between links 11 provided on one slide table 9a and the other slide table 9 so that the respective slide tables 9, 9a in the slide positions are constituted to be fixed to and released from the guide rail side.
