QUALITY CONTROL METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR BENTONITE MIXED SOIL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable simple control of the mixing condition of bentonite mixed soil by a method wherein an inspection solution which emits fluorescence by ultraviolet irradiation on reducing conditions but none thereof on oxidizing conditions is sprayed to bentonite mixed soil and the sprayed bentonite mixed soil is irradiated with ultraviolet rays. ;SOLUTION: This quality control apparatus 1 is constituted of a container to house bentonite mixed soil, an ultraviolet lamp 2 to irradiate the mixed soil with ultraviolet rays and a camera 3 disposed at an upper part of the container. An inspection solution which emits fluorescence by ultraviolet irradiation on reducing conditions but none thereof on oxidizing conditions is sprayed to the bentonite mixed soil as a mixture of bentonite and soil. The inspection solution herein used is, for example, a safranine/ethyl alcohol solution and a rhodamine B/ethylalcohol solution prepared at a specified concentration. The mixed solid sprayed is observed under an ultraviolet irradiation by the lamp 2, with naked eyes or with a camera 3, thus enabling simply learning of the mixing condition depending on whether fluorescence is generated or not.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
