PURPOSE: To enhance air permeability, comfortableness, a cushioning property, washability, wear resistance and the like by forming a three-dimensional liner that in use is fitted into a shoe into a three-dimensional shape covering the instep, sole and heel of the foot as a whole, and forming the main component members of the liner of a knit cloth provided with an intermediate layer between surface and back layers which are formed by double Raschel knitting. ;CONSTITUTION: A three-layered knit cloth comprising a surface layer, a back layer and an intermediate layer is fabricated into a thickness of about 2mm by double Raschel knitting. Pieces 1a-1c for covering half the inside surface and half the outside surface of the instep and the sole of the foot, respectively, are cut out of the knit cloth. A piece 1d for covering the heel of the foot is independently fabricated by cutting a sheet of laminated thin films of artificial leather, with the upper edge of the piece 1d folded and bonded to form edging 1e. The pieces 1a-1e are sewed into a three-dimensional sock liner 1 that is worn as it is fitted inside a shoe. The product providing comfortableness and being excellent in air permeability, a cushioning property, washability, wear resistance and the like is thus fabricated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
