PURPOSE:To provide a method for modifying a polypropylene and wooden powder composite material in which impact resistance characteristics are improved without considerably lowering a flexural modulus and a heat distortion temperature, etc., of the material. CONSTITUTION:A method for modifying a polypropylene and wooden powder composite material comprises the steps of adding fine particles obtained by grinding painted polypropylene bumper (particularly disposed painted PP bumper) to 1.1 times as large as wooden powder or lower without removing a paint film to polypropylene and wooden powder mixture containing 65wt.% or more of wooden powder mixing ratio to mixed polypropylene in a range of 4-20% of a weight of the polypropylene in the mixture, agitating and mixing the added mixture, and extruding it by an extruder under a higher temperature condition than a normal temperature.
