PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of enhancing yield and quality of barley, etc., by bringing a foliar spray containing oligosaccharides as components to act on barley, etc. SOLUTION: This foliar spray contains oligosaccharides as components and is obtained from one or more of oligosaccharides selected from a xylooligosaccharide, an agarooligosaccharide, a mannooligosaccharide, a fructooligosaccharide, a glucosamineoligosaccharide, a uronic acid- oligosaccharide, a raffinose, a galactosyllactose, a lactosucrose, a glucosylsucrose, a lactulose, an isomaltulose, a sugar alcohol and brought to act on barley, etc., in the latter half of ripening period, especially just before harvesting.
